Payment Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
At Prella Bags, we want your payment experience to be as smooth and secure as your shopping experience. This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept, the currency used on our website, how transactions are processed, and what customers should do if a payment-related issue occurs during checkout.
By placing an order through our website, the customer agrees to the prices, payment terms, shipping charges, taxes, and other applicable costs displayed before submitting the order.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept secure payment methods that are displayed and available during checkout.
Depending on the customer's location, device, payment-provider eligibility, and the options currently enabled on our Shopify store, accepted payment methods may include:
Debit Cards
- Visa debit cards
- Mastercard debit cards
Credit Cards
- Visa credit cards
- Mastercard credit cards
- American Express
- Discover
Digital Wallets
- Google Pay
- Apple Pay
- Shop Pay
- PayPal (when enabled at checkout)
The availability of a particular payment method may vary depending on the customer's location, browser, device, card issuer, and payment provider.
A payment method is considered accepted only when it is shown as an available option on the checkout page. Payment logos or methods that are not active at checkout should not be considered available.
Payment methods we do not accept:
- Cash on delivery
- Checks or money orders
- Cryptocurrency
- Any card brand or wallet not actively displayed at checkout
2. Currency
All product prices, shipping charges, discounts, taxes, and order totals on our United States store are displayed and processed in United States dollars (USD) unless another currency is expressly displayed during checkout.
Customers using a card or payment account issued in another country may be charged:
- Currency-conversion fees
- Foreign-transaction fees
- International card-processing fees
- Exchange-rate adjustments
These charges and exchange rates are determined by the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider. They are not charged or retained by Prella Bags.
The final amount submitted to Prella Bags will be the amount displayed on the checkout page before the customer confirms payment.
3. How the Payment Process Works
During checkout, customers are asked to enter their card number, the name on the card, the expiration date, and the card security code (CVV), along with a billing address. This information is entered directly into our secure, encrypted checkout page and is transmitted to Shopify's payment infrastructure and our payment provider for processing.
Prella Bags does not directly receive, view, or store a customer's complete card number or CVV on its own servers at any point in this process.
4. Secure Payment Processing
Payments are processed through Shopify's secure checkout system and the payment providers enabled on our store.
We use secure payment processing designed to protect customer information during checkout. Payment and personal information is transmitted through an encrypted HTTPS connection.
Prella Bags does not directly receive or store customers' complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own servers. Complete payment credentials are processed by Shopify and the applicable authorized payment provider.
Most transactions are submitted for authorization in real time. A payment may be:
- Approved
- Declined
- Pending
- Subject to additional verification
- Temporarily authorized by the card issuer
An order is not considered fully paid until the payment provider confirms that payment has been successfully authorized or captured.
Shopify Payments in the United States uses fraud-detection and encryption measures, including supported authentication tools such as 3D Secure.
5. Payment Confirmation
After a payment is completed successfully, the customer will normally receive an order-confirmation email containing relevant order details.
The confirmation may include:
- The order number
- Products purchased
- Billing and shipping information
- Product prices
- Discounts
- Shipping charges
- Applicable taxes
- Total order amount
- Selected payment method, usually shown in a masked form
- Order or fulfillment status
If the customer does not receive an order-confirmation email within a reasonable period, the customer should:
- Check the spam, junk, or promotions folder
- Confirm that the correct email address was entered at checkout
- Check the payment account for a completed or pending transaction
- Contact our customer-support team
An order-confirmation email acknowledges receipt of the order. It does not prevent Prella Bags from cancelling an order when payment cannot be verified, the product is unavailable, fraud is suspected, or the order information is materially incorrect.
6. Failed Payments
A payment may fail or be declined for reasons controlled by the customer's bank, card issuer, payment provider, browser, or payment gateway.
If a payment fails, customers should:
- Confirm that the card number, expiration date, security code, and billing address are correct
- Confirm that sufficient funds or credit are available
- Confirm that the billing address matches the address registered with the card issuer
- Check whether the bank has restricted online or international transactions
- Contact the bank or card issuer to authorize the transaction
- Try the payment again after confirming the details
- Use another payment method displayed at checkout
- Contact Prella Bags if the issue continues
Prella Bags does not control whether a bank or card issuer approves or declines a transaction. For security reasons, a payment provider may not disclose the exact reason for a decline to us.
A failed payment does not create a completed order unless a successful payment and order confirmation are subsequently recorded.
7. Double Charges Or Pending Payments
A customer may occasionally see more than one transaction or a pending payment after attempting to place an order.
A pending amount may be a temporary authorization hold created by the customer's bank or card issuer. It is not always a completed or duplicate charge.
Failed payment attempts may also temporarily appear as pending authorizations before being automatically released by the bank. The release time is determined by the card issuer and may vary. Shopify states that failed payment authorizations commonly reverse within approximately three to five business days, although the customer's bank controls the final timing.
Customers who see multiple transactions should:
- Check whether each transaction is completed or only pending
- Confirm how many order-confirmation emails were received
- Contact the bank or card issuer for the status of each transaction
- Contact Prella Bags with the order number, transaction date, amount, and a screenshot showing only non-sensitive payment information
Customers must not send complete card numbers, security codes, passwords, or banking credentials by email.
If our investigation confirms that Prella Bags successfully collected the same payment twice for one order, we will refund the verified duplicate amount to the original payment method.
8. Payment Gateway Issues
Our website displays only payment methods made available by Shopify and the payment providers enabled for our checkout.
A payment method may be temporarily unavailable because of:
- Payment-provider maintenance
- Browser or device incompatibility
- Network interruptions
- Bank restrictions
- An expired or blocked card
- Insufficient funds
- Incorrect billing information
- Security or fraud checks
- Regional payment-method restrictions
- A temporary Shopify or payment-gateway interruption
If a payment method is supported but the transaction fails, the customer should first contact the bank or payment provider. The bank can usually confirm whether the payment was declined, authorized, pending, or successfully completed.
Customers may also contact Prella Bags so that we can check whether an order or payment record was received by our store.
Prella Bags cannot manually approve a payment that has been declined by the customer's bank or payment provider.
9. Security And Fraud Prevention
To protect customers and our business, orders may be reviewed for potential fraud, unauthorized payment activity, inaccurate information, or unusual purchasing behavior.
We may request additional verification before processing or shipping an order, including:
- Confirmation of the customer's name
- Confirmation of the billing or shipping address
- Confirmation of the order details
- Verification through the payment provider
- Email or telephone confirmation
- Other reasonable information needed to verify that the payment is authorized
Customers should never send a complete payment-card number or card security code by email.
Prella Bags may place an order on hold or cancel it when:
- Payment authorization cannot be confirmed
- The billing information cannot be verified
- The order is identified as high risk
- Fraudulent or unauthorized activity is suspected
- The payment provider requests cancellation
- The customer does not respond to a reasonable verification request
- The order violates our policies or applicable law
When a paid order is cancelled by Prella Bags, an eligible refund will be issued to the original payment method according to our Return and Refund Policy.
10. Transparency On Fees
Prella Bags does not add hidden payment-processing fees during checkout.
Before the customer places an order, the checkout page will display the available:
- Product subtotal
- Discounts
- Shipping charges
- Applicable taxes
- Other disclosed charges
- Final order total
Customers will have an opportunity to review the final amount before submitting payment.
A customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider may separately impose fees such as:
- Foreign-transaction fees
- Currency-conversion fees
- International-processing fees
- Overdraft charges
- Interest charges
- Late-payment charges
- Other account-related charges
These external fees are determined by the customer's financial provider, are not received by Prella Bags, and are outside our control.
Prella Bags cannot refund or reimburse an external banking or payment-provider fee that was not collected by Prella Bags.
Google requires merchants to clearly disclose the payment model and the full expense the customer will bear before and after purchase. Undisclosed payment obligations or contradictory pricing may violate Merchant Center's misrepresentation requirements.

- The order number, when available
- The email address used for the order
- The transaction date
- The transaction amount
- A brief explanation of the problem
- A screenshot with all sensitive payment details hidden
For security reasons, customers must not provide complete card numbers, card security codes, online-banking passwords, or one-time verification codes.
12. Payment Authorization And Capture
When a customer submits an order, the card issuer or payment provider may first authorize the amount before the payment is fully captured.
An authorization confirms that the payment method is valid and that sufficient funds or credit may be available. The customer's bank may display this authorization as a pending charge.
Depending on our active Shopify payment settings, payment may be captured automatically or after an internal order review.
A pending authorization does not always mean that payment has been fully collected. The customer's financial institution controls how pending authorizations appear and when they are released.
Shopify explains that card payments involve authorization followed by capture, and a bank may display a temporary hold during this process.
13. Order Acceptance
Submitting payment does not guarantee that an order has been accepted for shipment.
We may reject or cancel an order when:
- Payment is unsuccessful
- Payment cannot be verified
- The product is unavailable
- The product price contains a clear technical error
- Customer information is incomplete or materially inaccurate
- Fraud or unauthorized use is suspected
- The shipping address cannot be served
- The order violates purchase limits, website terms, or applicable law
If an order is cancelled after payment has been successfully collected, we will initiate an eligible refund to the original payment method.
14. Billing Information
Customers must provide current, complete, and accurate billing information when submitting payment.
The customer is responsible for confirming:
- The billing name
- The billing address
- The card or payment-account details
- The email address
- The telephone number, when requested
- Any required authentication or verification information
Incorrect billing information may cause the transaction to fail, remain pending, or require additional verification.
We may cancel an order when the customer's information cannot be reasonably verified.
15. Prices, Taxes, Shipping And Final Cost
The product price displayed on the product page should match the price displayed in the cart and checkout, except where an accurately applied discount, tax, shipping charge, or customer-selected option changes the total.
Before payment is submitted, customers will be shown the final payable amount, including applicable:
- Product prices
- Product quantities
- Discounts
- Shipping costs
- Taxes
- Other disclosed charges
Google requires product availability and pricing to remain consistent between Merchant Center product data, product landing pages, and checkout. In-stock products should be capable of being added to the cart and purchased.
If the customer changes the shipping destination, delivery method, quantity, or product option, the final amount may be recalculated before payment.
16. Discount Codes And Promotions
Discount codes must be entered during checkout before payment is submitted.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Only one discount code may be used per order
- A discount cannot be applied after an order is completed
- Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash
- Promotions are valid only during their published period
- Product, customer, location, or minimum-spend restrictions may apply
- Expired, invalid, or unauthorized codes will not be accepted
Any promotion presented through Google, our website, email, or another channel must match the terms and price available to eligible customers on the landing page and during checkout.
17. Guest Checkout And Customer Accounts
Customers may complete checkout using the options made available by our Shopify checkout.
When guest checkout is available, customers are not required to create an account before purchasing.
When customer verification is required, the process may include a secure one-time code or another authentication step.
Google requires individual customers to be able to purchase products and states that business-only fields should not be mandatory. Google also allows straightforward account verification but requires customers to be able to successfully complete checkout.
18. Refunds To The Original Payment Method
Approved refunds will be issued to the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Prella Bags will initiate an approved refund within the timeframe stated in our Return and Refund Policy. After initiation, the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears.
Prella Bags does not control the financial institution's posting time.
Refund eligibility, return requirements, deductions, processing periods, and damaged or incorrect product procedures are explained separately in our Return and Refund Policy.
19. Payment-Related Cancellations
Customers should contact us as soon as possible to request cancellation.
A cancellation is not guaranteed after payment because processing or fulfillment may have already begun.
When an order has not yet shipped and cancellation is approved, the payment will be refunded to the original payment method.
When an order has already shipped, the customer may need to follow our standard return process after delivery.
20. Chargebacks And Payment Disputes
Customers should contact Prella Bags directly when they do not recognize a payment, believe that an incorrect amount was charged, or have not received an expected refund.
Contacting us first allows us to:
- Locate the order
- Review payment records
- Investigate a duplicate charge
- Review delivery or return information
- Correct a verified error
- Provide refund confirmation
Nothing in this policy removes any legal or cardholder rights available to the customer.
Customers must not submit knowingly false payment disputes or chargebacks.
21. Privacy And Payment Information
Customer information is collected and used only for legitimate purposes connected with:
- Processing orders
- Confirming payments
- Delivering products
- Preventing fraud
- Providing customer support
- Processing returns and refunds
- Meeting legal and accounting obligations
Payment information is processed through secure Shopify checkout and the applicable payment provider.
Additional details regarding the collection, use, retention, and protection of customer information are provided in our Privacy Policy.
Google requires personal and payment information to be collected through an SSL-protected page and requires merchants to handle user information responsibly.
22. Changes To This Payment Policy
We may update this Payment Policy to reflect changes in:
- Available payment methods
- Shopify checkout functionality
- Payment-provider requirements
- Store operations
- Applicable legal requirements
- Security and fraud-prevention procedures
The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
Changes will not be used to retroactively remove rights already applicable to a completed purchase.
23. Agreement To This Policy
By completing checkout and submitting payment, the customer confirms that:
- The order information is accurate
- The customer is authorized to use the selected payment method
- The customer has reviewed the final order amount
- The customer agrees to this Payment Policy and our applicable store policies
- The customer understands that external banking charges may be controlled by their financial institution
We believe shopping should be exciting, not stressful. Our payment process is designed to be simple, secure, transparent, and easy to understand.
